What is Endoscopy?
It is the procedure where a thin, lighted tube (Endoscope) is inserted in any human cavity (i.e. Stomach, Abdomen, and Uterus). The Surgeon can look through the telescope into your cavity and can see whether the organs have any pathology.
It is widely used in all specialties of medical field for diagnosis and treatment of wide variety of diseases. In Gyneacology and Obstetrics two frequently carried out procedures are Hysteroscopy (Hystero ~ Uterus) and Lapraoscopy (Laparo~ Abdomen).

What is Laparoscopy?
Laparoscopy is a procedure where a thin, lighted tube (Endoscope) is inserted in your abdomen through a tiny incision. The Surgeon can look through the laparoscope into your abdominal and pelvic cavity and can see whether the uterus, tubes and ovaries have any pathology.
Attached to the end of the laparoscope is a video camera, which allows us to view and record the image which is known as Video Laparoscopy.
What is Hysteroscopy?
Hysteroscopy is a procedure where a thin, lighted tube (Endoscope) is inserted inside the uterine cavity through a cervix.
The Surgeon can look through the Hysteroscope into your uterine cavity and can see whether the ostia, endometrium or cavity has any pathology. Similarly outer end of the Hysteroscope is attached to a video camera, which allows us to view and record the image.
